Use this checklist to evaluate artificial turf products, base preparation, seams, drainage and finish quality for an Allen property.
Quality is a complete system
High-quality artificial turf is not defined by the roll of grass alone. Product selection, excavation, grade, base compaction, seams, edges and infill work together.
A premium sample installed over an unstable or poorly drained surface can still produce a poor result. Evaluate the construction plan with the same care as the fibers.
Match the product to traffic and use
Density, pile height, blade shape, backing and color blend affect appearance and performance. A busy family yard may need different characteristics than a lightly used front lawn.
Dog runs, putting greens, playgrounds and commercial areas create different demands. Ask why the recommended product fits your application.
Inspect the finish details
Clean seams, secure edges and intentional transitions make a major difference. Curves, utility covers, steps, beds and hardscape require careful fitting.
Ask how the crew will orient the turf and where seams will fall. Layout decisions affect both appearance and material use.
